One of the lucky contest winners who came to meet me at East Hoath Woods was Honey (@honeytheexploringviszla), whose name perfectly fits her beautiful honey-toned coat. It didn’t take honey long to warm up to me. As a Hungarian Viszla, she is a working breed that thrives on structured interactions. Once I started giving her and her owner clear, decisive instructions with plenty of rewards for a job well done, she settled into the session and was more than happy to pose for the camera.

I've achieved my first Bronze Award in the Image of the Month Competition held by the Guild of Photographers. This is a great honour to have one of my images achieve this mark in the competition, especially one of my own boy, Marley, who started my pet photography journey just a couple of years ago.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting South East Dog Rescue and interviewing the founder Kymm White and their fundraising coordinator Victoria Hadley to discuss the dire situation they currently find themselves in as the kennels they currently rent are being sold off and they need to raise money to find a new location for the rescue and the dogs they look after. This is a heart breaking story about a non profit organisation who go above and beyond to rescue dogs across Kent and find them forever homes, even if that home can only be at the rescue. These volunteers give up so much of their time to do something so selfless. They truly deserve our support.

The 2026 Calendar Contest is HERE!
This year's calendar contest will raise money for South East Dog Rescue and help them towards their goal of raising a whopping £1.7 million to buy their kennel site, what they now call home, and save this rescue from being lost forever. Their mission to give a second chance to abandoned, neglected and unwanted dogs and to find them loving, furever homes is an honourable one and is something worth fighting to preserve. Especially as some of the dogs that come to them cannot cope in a 'traditional' home environment and are given sanctuary at the centre for the remainder of their lives.

What do I carry with me to every session? From treats to toys, towels to first aid kits, I’m prepared for every eventuality.
