Enter Your Dog into the 2027 Save Our Rescue Calendar Contest and Help Change a Rescue Dog's Life

Every dog has a story.

Some are mischievous. Some are adventurous. Some are happiest curled up on the sofa, while others never stop exploring. Whatever makes your dog special, they deserve to be celebrated.

That's exactly why I'm so excited to launch the 2027 Save Our Rescue Calendar Contest.

Now entering its second year, this annual fundraiser combines my passion for professional dog photography with something even more important: helping rescue dogs find the happy futures they deserve.

Last year's competition exceeded every expectation, raising more than £3,500 for South East Dog Rescue (SEDR).

This year, with your help, I'm hoping we can raise even more.

Whether you're hoping to see your own dog featured in next year's calendar or simply want to support an incredible local charity, every entry, every vote and every calendar purchased helps make a real difference.

Why This Calendar Means So Much

As an award-winning Kent Dog Photographer, I'm incredibly fortunate to spend my days photographing dogs from every walk of life.

Some have been part of their families since they were tiny puppies.

Others have found loving homes after being rescued. My own dog found his forever home after trying out two homes before me.

No matter their background, every dog deserves to have their personality celebrated.

The annual Save Our Rescue Calendar allows me to combine two things I care deeply about: creating beautiful artwork for dog owners and raising money for dogs who are still waiting for their forever homes.

It's easily one of my favourite projects of the year.

Seeing the calendar hanging in homes across Kent while knowing it has helped rescue dogs is something I'll never take for granted.

Supporting South East Dog Rescue

South East Dog Rescue works tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome dogs who need a second chance.

Behind every successful adoption is an enormous amount of work.

Veterinary treatment.

Behavioural support.

Food.

Transport.

Training.

Foster care.

The costs quickly add up, and charities rely heavily on donations from supporters.

Every entry into this competition helps South East Dog Rescue continue providing that vital care.

What’s more, SEDR are still in desperate need of a permanent location for their rescue after their current residence was put up for sale. I hope to get them closer to their goal of raising enough money to afford to buy somewhere they and their sanctuary dogs can call their own.

When you enter your dog or vote for your favourites, you're doing far more than taking part in a fun competition.

You're helping another dog find a better future.

How the Competition Works

Taking part couldn't be easier.

To enter, simply make a £5 donation and upload your favourite photograph of your dog through the competition website.

Once you've entered, your friends, family and fellow dog lovers can vote for your dog.

Each vote costs just £2, with every penny helping support South East Dog Rescue.

The dogs receiving the most votes will win a place in the 2027 Save Our Rescue Calendar and a luxury professional dog photography experience with Conor Kerrigan Photography.

It's a wonderful way to celebrate your own dog while making a genuine difference to rescue dogs across the South East.

A Professional Photoshoot Worth Winning

Winning the calendar isn't simply about having your dog's picture printed on the wall.

Every winner receives a full professional dog photography session, designed to create artwork that you'll treasure for years to come.

We'll choose a location that suits your dog perfectly, whether that's one of Kent's beautiful beaches, peaceful woodland trails or urban settings full of character.

The sessions are relaxed, fun and entirely centred around your dog's personality.

Some dogs love to race around and explore.

Others prefer to sit quietly beside their owner.

Both make beautiful photographs.

As a luxury dog photographer in Kent, my aim is never to force poses or rush the session. Instead, I work with each dog naturally to capture genuine expressions and moments that reflect who they really are.

More Than Just the Finalists Can Win

Even if your dog doesn't make it into the calendar, there are still plenty of opportunities to walk away with something special.

Throughout the competition, there will be eight weekly prizes, generously donated by local businesses who have kindly chosen to support this year's fundraiser.

Each week, the dog with the highest number of votes will win one of these fantastic prizes.

It keeps the competition exciting from beginning to end and gives entrants even more reasons to keep sharing their dog's page with friends and family.

A huge thank you goes to every business supporting this year's event. Their generosity helps us raise even more money for South East Dog Rescue while rewarding the amazing community taking part.

New Ways to Earn Bonus Votes

This year, there are even more opportunities to help your favourite dogs climb the leaderboard while raising extra money for South East Dog Rescue.

If you pre-order your 2027 Save Our Rescue Calendar, you'll receive 10 bonus votes to use however you like. You can give them all to your own dog or spread them between other entrants if you'd like to support your friends.

Entrants can also give their campaign a significant boost by making an additional £10 donation after entering the competition. As a thank you, every vote included with that donation will be tripled, giving your dog an even bigger helping hand while increasing the amount raised for the rescue dogs who need it most.

These promotions are a fantastic way to raise even more money for South East Dog Rescue while adding a little extra excitement to the competition.

Watch Out for More Surprises

The bonus vote offers don't stop there.

Throughout the competition, I'll be running additional promotions and bonus vote opportunities, so it's well worth keeping an eye on my social media pages.

The easiest way to stay up to date is by following Conor Kerrigan Photography on Facebook and Instagram (@conorkerriganphotography), where I'll be sharing competition updates, weekly winners, behind-the-scenes photographs and special announcements throughout the nine-week contest.

You never know when another opportunity to earn extra votes might appear.

Reserve a Special Spot In The Calendar For Your Pet

Honour your pet or celebrate a gotcha day or birthday by reserving an empty grid space (before or after the numbered squares) for their photo. Choose a favourite photo, a month, and pay. Each month has a limited number of squares in each grid and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis; don't delay! Each grid space is just £10.

Key Dates for Your Diary

The competition opens on 1st August and closes on 2nd October.

Once the voting has finished, all of the winning dogs will enjoy their portrait sessions throughout October.

This timing allows me to carefully edit every image and design the finished calendar ready for printing.

The 2027 Save Our Rescue Calendar will then be available towards the end of November, making it the perfect Christmas gift for dog lovers while continuing to support South East Dog Rescue.

Why Professional Dog Photography Matters

Every year I meet owners who tell me they've been meaning to have professional photographs taken of their dog for years.

Life gets busy.

Before you know it, puppies have grown into adults, grey hairs begin appearing around muzzles and time has quietly moved on.

Professional photographs become more valuable with every passing year.

They're not just pictures.

They're memories.

They're reminders of muddy walks, beach adventures, favourite toys and the little expressions that make your dog uniquely yours.

That's why I believe every dog deserves to have beautiful portraits created at least once in their lifetime.

The calendar competition gives thirteen lucky owners the opportunity to enjoy that experience while supporting a fantastic cause.

Last Year's Incredible Success

When I launched the first Save Our Rescue Calendar Contest, I honestly didn't know what to expect.

The response was overwhelming.

Together, entrants, voters, sponsors and calendar buyers helped raise over £3,500 for South East Dog Rescue.

More importantly, they created a wonderful community of dog lovers who spent weeks cheering each other on, sharing photographs and celebrating every weekly winner.

I'm incredibly grateful to everyone who supported the competition.

This year, I'd love to see us go even further.

Could Your Dog Be the Next Calendar Star?

Whether your dog is a rescue, a pedigree, a puppy, a senior or simply the centre of your world, I'd love to see them take part.

Every dog has the chance to win.

Every vote helps rescue dogs.

Every calendar sold supports an incredible charity.

And thirteen lucky dogs will enjoy a luxury dog photography experience before taking pride of place in the 2027 Save Our Rescue Calendar.

I can't wait to meet this year's winners and create another calendar full of unforgettable personalities.

Good luck to everyone entering!
